How can I build credit by reporting rent payments with Baselane?

Baselane is happy to introduce Rent Reporting for tenants! As a renter, you can now have your rent payments made through Baselane reported to all 3 major US credit bureaus (Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian) to boost your credit score. The fee for this additional feature is $5/month.

Here's how you can enroll in Rent Reporting:

1. Navigate to your Dashboard, and click on "Get Started" at the bottom of the page.

2. Confirm your legal name, date of birth (Day/Month/Year), and Social Security Number.

3. For a flat fee of $25, you can have your past rent payments made through Baselane reported to the credit bureaus (up to 24 months).

Please note that this option is only available when you first enroll in the Rent Reporting program.

4. Enter your payment method details (please note that we only accept debit or credit card payments for Rent Reporting at this time).

Check off the box "I agree to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy."

Click on "Pay & Subscribe".

To view details of your Rent Reporting:

1.  Navigate to your dashboard

2. Click on "View Details" at the bottom of the page

You'll be able to see your reporting history there, including what months your rent was reported to the credit bureaus.

To deactivate Rent Reporting

(Please note that once deactivated, you cannot re-enroll in Rent Reporting)

1.  Navigate to your dashboard

2. Click on "Manage Subscription" at the bottom of the page

3. Click on "Ongoing rent payment reporting"

4. Click on "Cancel Subscription"

5. Select a Cancellation Reason and Confirm Cancellation.

To change the payment method for the $5 fee:

1.  Navigate to your dashboard

2. Click on "Manage Subscription" at the bottom of the page

3. Click on "Payment Methods"
