How to access Workspace Settings
Log in to your Baselane account.
Click the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner.
Select Workspace Settings from the dropdown menu.
From here, you can manage the different sections outlined below.
Business Profile
The Business Profile controls the name, email address, and phone number that your tenants see when Rent Collection is set up.
If a Business Profile is not configured, tenants will see the information associated with your original Baselane account.
Only Workspace Owners can update the Business Profile.
Please note: Updating the phone number in the Business Profile does not update your two-factor authentication (2FA) phone number. If you need to update your phone number to access your account, please contact our Support team.
Members
The Members tab is available for Baselane Smart users who have added collaborators to their workspace.
From this section, you can:
• Add collaborators
• Manage permissions
• Remove collaborators
Rent Collection
If you are receiving rent into an external bank account, this tab allows you to manage fee settings.
You can choose who covers the ACH fee:
• Landlord
• Tenant
These settings apply to rent payments collected through Baselane.
Transaction Categories
The Transaction Categories tab is available for Baselane Smart users. This section displays all transaction categories, subcategories, and groups used for bookkeeping and reporting. Categories are mapped to Baselane’s financial reports.
You can also create custom transaction categories in this section.
If you have any questions about Workspace Settings or need assistance updating any section, please contact our Support team, and we’ll be happy to help.
