Requirements for Mobile Check Deposit
Mobile check deposit is available only when logged in from a mobile phone browser.
Deposits can be made into Baselane Checking accounts only (not Savings).
You must take a live photo of the check during the deposit — uploaded photos are not accepted.
Endorse the back of the check with: For remote deposit with Thread Bank.
Checks may be payable to the account holder or the LLC name associated with the Baselane Banking account.
How to Deposit a Check
Log in to your Baselane account from your mobile phone.
Go to the Baselane Banking or Transfers & Payments tab.
Select Move Money.
Choose Add Funds.
Select Mobile Check Deposit.
Ensure the back is endorsed with: For remote deposit with Thread Bank.
Follow the instructions to capture photos of the front and back of your check.
Enter the check amount.
Select the banking account where the check will be deposited.
Select Next and tag the check deposit to a property & category to automate your bookkeeping.
Review your details and select Deposit.
Processing Timeline:
Deposits process in approximately 3 business days.
Deposits submitted after 5 PM EST, on weekends, or federal holidays begin processing the next business day.
*Please keep the physical check until you confirm the deposit has cleared.
Image Requirements and Best Practices
To reduce delays or rejections:
Hold the camera parallel to the check and keep it inside the on-screen frame.
Avoid using flash.
Use a dark, solid background without patterns (avoid marble or wood grain).
If the surface is patterned or light-colored, place a dark sheet of paper behind the check.
Ensure bright, even lighting with no shadows.
Lay the check flat, without bends or folds.
Optional: Place a small dot in each corner of the check (pencil-eraser sized) to help the system detect edges.

Limits depend on your Baselane Checking account tier:
Standard Checking (Default)
Daily limit: $10,000
Monthly limit: $25,000
High Checking Tier (By Request)
Daily limit: $50,000
Monthly limit: $200,000

Tracking Your Mobile Check Deposit
Once you submit a mobile check deposit, you can track its status in the Transfers & Payments tab under Activity:
Note: Check images will only appear after the deposit has been completed. You can view the image by selecting the arrow next to the transaction.
