Debit Card Fraud Activity
Any card-related activity (purchases, ATM withdrawals, etc.) is evaluated for potential fraud by Visa. If a transaction is flagged as high-risk for fraud, Visa may decline the transaction and temporarily block your card. If this occurs, Visa will attempt to confirm your recent transactions through one or more of the following methods:
- Email Notification
You will receive an email from noreply@cardfraudalerts.com listing recent transactions. You can confirm or deny the activity by responding to this email. - Text Message
Visa will send a text message asking you to confirm recent transactions. You can respond to confirm or deny the activity directly via text. - Phone Call
If you do not respond to the email or text message, Visa will call you to verbally confirm whether the transactions are legitimate or fraudulent.
If no response is received through any of these channels, Visa will continue attempting to contact you by phone for up to one business day.
Based on your responses, Visa will either reactivate your card or keep it blocked. If your card remains blocked and you require a replacement, please contact Baselane Support at support@baselane.com (Mon-Fri, 8 AM - 8 PM EST), or call us at +1 (888) 586-1618 (Mon-Fri, 9 AM - 4 PM EST).
ACH Transaction Fraud Activity
If you see ACH transactions on your account that you don’t recognize, we recommend contacting Baselane as soon as possible with the following details:
- The date of the transaction
- The merchant name
- The transaction amount
Baselane will forward this information to Thread Bank, which will provide you with an ACH dispute form. This form must be completed, signed, and returned to Baselane.

Check Payment Fraud Activity
If you notice check payments from your account that you don’t recognize, please contact Baselane immediately with the following details:
- The date of the check payment
- The check number
- The check amount
- The recipient of the check
Baselane will forward this information to Thread Bank, which will provide you with a check dispute form affidavit. This form must be signed, notarized, and returned to Baselane.
