How do I end and archive rent collection for a tenant?
Once the Rent Collection end date has passed, the lease will move to the ‘Expired’ tab on the Rent Collection page and show as ‘Lease Expired’. You will have to ‘End & Archive’ the lease terms for it to move to the ‘Archived’ tab.
You can also manually end and archive an active Rent Collection. To do so:
- Go to the Rent Collection page
- Under the ‘Active’ lease tab, click on the property containing the Rent Collection you want to archive
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the ‘End & Archive’ button
This will terminate the rent collection and cancel all outstanding invoices. Please note this action can not be undone. The invoices will appear as canceled for your tenant.
You can view your archived Rent Collections by selecting the 'Archived' tab on the Rent Collection page.
How do I delete a draft Rent Collection?
If you have started going through the process to create Rent Collection terms and you want to delete this draft, please follow the steps below:
- Go to the Rent Collection tab
- If you have draft Rent Collection terms, there will be a prompt to ‘Finish Set Up’ of your draft Rent Collection terms above the lists for ‘Active’, ‘Expired' & ‘Archived’ Rent Collections
- Once you’ve selected the ‘Finish Set Up’ button, select the property the draft terms are with. Any property that has an active draft, will show ‘Resume Draft’ beside the property address
- Once you’ve selected the property, select the red ‘Delete Draft’ button that will appear to the right of the ‘Continue’ button
- Confirm that you’d like to delete the draft
- Once the draft has been deleted, you will remain on the Rent Collection setup page and should select ‘Finish Later’ at the top right-hand side to exit
Please note, after you delete draft Rent Collection terms, if you select any property or unit instead of selecting the ‘Finish Later’ button to exit, you will start another draft Rent Collection.
