How do my tenants use Baselane?

When you set up a Rent Collection in Baselane, your tenant automatically receives an invite to join the Baselane Tenant Platform. In the Baselane Tenant Platform, tenants can view their Rent Collection details and documents and pay their rent (with an option to enable auto-pay) as well as any one-time fees or deposits. The Tenant platform is fully accessible on mobile and desktops.

• Tip: You can manage multiple leases within a single property, including onboarding future tenants while keeping the current tenant’s rent collection active. This feature allows you to handle multiple tenants without needing to create separate units for each tenant.

What payment methods can tenants use to pay their rent?

• Tenants can pay by their Bank Account (ACH). Please note that there is a $2 ACH processing fee if you are collecting rent into an external bank account. The landlord can choose to pay or have the tenant pay the fee. If you are collecting rent into a Baselane Banking Account, the $2 ACH fee is waived
• Tenants can also pay by Debit or Credit Card and there is a 3.49% processing fee added that the tenant pays
