Once your Baselane Banking application is approved you will be mailed a physical debit card to the address you provided in your application. Your card will be delivered within 7-10 business days.
Activate your card via Phone
Once you receive your debit card, you can activate it directly in your account (click ‘Activate Physical Card’ in the ‘Cards’ page of the Baselane Banking tab and follow the directions) or by calling the Baselane Visa support number at +1 (833) 852-1519, for Thread Bank Baselane Banking accounts.
Activate your card via Baselane Account Online
- Log into your Baselane account
- Head to the Baselane Banking tab
- Click on 'Cards'
- Select the card you wish to activate
- Enter the OTP you received via text
- Enter the CVV and Expiry Code
- Enter the PIN you would like to use on the card and Activate the card
You will now see that the card shows as 'Active' - you can now start using the card!
Change your PIN
To change your PIN code on your Baselane debit card, contact the Visa support number at +1 (833) 852-1519, and follow the prompts listed to update your PIN. Please note, that if you have 3 failed PIN attempts, your debit card will be locked for 24 hours. During this period, you will not be able to change your PIN.
Do virtual cards have PINs?
Once you’ve created a virtual Debit Card, you may wonder why you were not asked to set a PIN for it. This is because virtual Debit Cards do not have PINs by default.
If you’re trying to use your virtual card and you’re asked to provide a PIN, please either:
