Not receiving OTP verification email when scheduling an invoice payment or enabling Auto Pay

  • Updated

There could be a variety of reasons as to why you may not be receiving the OTP (one-time password) verification emails when you are scheduling an invoice payment and/or enabling Auto Pay on your account.

OTP Emails are sending to your Spam and/or Junk folders

Check your Spam and/or Junk folders. It is possible that these OTP emails are being sent directly to your Spam and/or Junk folders and if this is the case, make sure to mark the email as not Spam/Junk, so that future OTP emails won't also be sent to those folders.

You are using a university email address

The email filtering systems that univeristy's use will often filter out these types of emails and cause you to no receive them at all. To resolve this, we kindly request that you reach out to your university’s technical support team and ask them to whitelist our notification email address, notifications@mail.baselane.com. This action will ensure that our emails, including the OTP sent via our Twilio Verify service, reach your inbox without any issues.

If you have gone through the troubleshooting steps above and are still not receiving the OTP emails, please reach out to our support team at support@baselane.com, from Mon-Fri 8 AM - 8 PM EST, or call us at +1 (888) 586-1618 from Mon-Fri 9 AM - 4 PM EST.
